Chrome automatically checks for updates. If you want to check for updates, follow these steps:

  1. click on the three dots in the top-right-hand corner.
  2. Go to Help Centre.
  3. Select About Google Chrome. This page will trigger an update check.

Android

  1. Open the Google Play Store.
  2. Tap the three horizontal lines in the top-left-hand corner.
  3. Select My apps & games.
  4. Find Chrome and Enable auto-update.

iOS

  1. Open the App Store.
  2. Tap your profile picture in the top-right-hand corner.
  3. Scroll down to find Chrome.
  4. Enable Automatic Updates:
    • Settings
    • App Store
    • App Updates

Mozilla Firefox

Desktop

  1. Click the menu button (three horizontal lines) in the top-right-hand corner.
  2. Go to Options.
  3. Select General.
  4. Scroll down to Firefox updates and select Automatically install updates.

Android

  1. Open the Google Play Store.
  2. Tap the three horizontal lines in the top-left-hand corner.
  3. Select My apps & games.
  4. Find Chrome and tick Enable auto-update.

iOS

  1. Open the App Store.

  1. Go to settings > general > software update.
  2. Enable Automatic updates.
