Uploading a resume
Question: Can I upload multiple resume files to my Indeed account?
Answer: No. You can only upload one resume file at a time. You can keep different versions saved on your device.
Question: I deleted my resume file. Can you send me my old copy?
Answer: No. We don't store past resume files or profiles. You can download your current profile resume at any time.
Question: Can I upload a cover letter when I apply for a job?
Answer: Maybe. Some job applications allow you to upload a cover letter. This depends on the employer and the application type. Learn more about adding cover letters and other documents.
Question: Does uploading a resume make it public?
Answer: Maybe. You can choose if your resume is public or private. Uploading a resume for a job application doesn't make it public.
Question: Can I replace my uploaded resume?
Answer: Yes. When you upload a new resume, it replaces the old file. The new file will be used for future applications.
Editing or updating a resume
Question: Can I update my application? I sent an employer the wrong resume.
Answer: No. You'll have to contact the company directly to edit your application.
Question: Can I edit my uploaded resume file?
Answer: No. To change an uploaded resume file, you must upload a new file. The new file replaces the old one.
Question: Can I change the format of my profile resume?
Answer: No. Your profile resume has one layout. You can edit the content in your profile. When you download it again, the layout stays the same.
Printing a resume
Question: Can I print my resume?
Answer: Yes. Open the Resume options menu and choose Download to save your resume as a PDF. Then, follow your device's printing steps.
