Starting a job alert
- Sign in or create an account on Indeed.
- In the search field, enter your job title, keyword, or company.
- In the location field, add the city, state, pin code, or "remote".
- Click or tap Search to get search results.
- Scroll to the bottom of the first page of search results. You will see a field where you can enter your email address.
- Click or tap Activate to receive job alerts matching your search criteria.
Managing job alerts
Where to find your job alert settings
- Open Settings in your account.
- Click or tap Communications settings.
- Select Email to access your email subscriptions. From here, you can change your Job and company alerts.
Deleting, pausing, or editing job alerts
Ready to make a change to your job alerts? Under Job and company alerts, you can adjust your search terms and email frequency:
- Edit job titles, locations, and frequencies using the pencil icon.
- Toggle off to pause.
- Toggle on to resubscribe.
Unsubscribe using email
You can also do that if you prefer to use email to stop the alerts. Here's how:
- Open the job alert email in your inbox.
- Click Unsubscribe from this email.

Technical support
Issue: I am not receiving job alert emails.
Solution: The emails may be marked as spam or junk. Here are instructions on how to unblock Indeed.
Issue: I set the alert for 'exact location only' but the email includes jobs within 40 kilometres.
Solution: Open the search page from the job alert. On this page, you will only get the jobs that match your location preference.
