Why Is There an Indeed E-Mail on My Resume?

Quick summary

We provide job seekers with an auto-generated Indeed e-mail address to communicate with employers on Indeed. This alias helps protect your e-mail and keeps you safe from spam or fraud. Don't worry; e-mails from employers still go to your e-mail inbox.

How it works

Creating the alias

We make your alias using the name linked to your e-mail account. It looks something like this: “abc@indeedemail.com”.

Using the alias

When you apply for a job on Indeed, we hide your e-mail. Instead, employers see your Indeed e-mail alias. E-mails sent to your alias go to your Indeed Messages and e-mail inbox.
