Desktop

Chrome automatically checks for updates.

If you want to check for updates, follow these steps:

  1. Click on the three dots in the upper-right corner.
  2. Go to Help.
  3. Select About Google Chrome. This page will trigger an update check.

Android

  1. Open the Google Play Store.
  2. Tap the three horizontal lines in the upper-left corner.
  3. Select My apps & games.
  4. Find Chrome and Enable auto-update.

iOS

  1. Open the App Store.
  2. Tap your profile picture in the upper-right corner.
  3. Scroll down to find Chrome.
  4. Enable Automatic Updates:
    • Settings
    • App Store
    • App Updates

Mozilla Firefox

Desktop

  1. Click the menu button (three horizontal lines) in the top-right corner.
  2. Go to Options.
  3. Select General.
  4. Scroll down to Firefox Updates and select Automatically install updates.

Android

  1. Open the Google Play Store.
  2. Tap the three horizontal lines in the upper-left corner.
  3. Select My apps & games.
  4. Find Firefox and check Enable auto-update.

iOS

  1. Open the App Store.

macOS

Safari updates are included with macOS updates.

Follow these steps to enable automatic updates:

  1. Open System Preferences.
  2. Go to Software Update.
  3. Check the box that says Automatically keep my Mac up to date.

iOS

Safari updates are included with iOS updates.

To enable automatic updates:

  1. Go to Settings > General > Software Update.
  2. Enable Automatic Updates.
