To reduce fake and automated applications, we do a quick check via Persona to confirm you're not a bot. This check is completely optional for you. This helps preserve the platform's integrity. It also ensures that real job seekers aren't drowned out by bots.
Getting started
- Sign in to your Indeed account.
- Find a job you want to apply for.
- Follow the steps to submit your application.
Bot Mitigation Check
- Click or tap Continue on the post-application confirmation screen.
- Choose Start bot mitigation check to continue.
- You can also skip this step and continue without completing a bot mitigation check.
- Upload your government ID and selfie to Persona.
- When asked for a selfie, follow the instructions and make sure your face is well-lit and clear.
- Please note that Indeed and employers on Indeed do not access or store validation information you submit to Persona, including your government ID or selfie picture.
- Your documents will now be processed by Persona.
- If complete, you can consent to share your completion results with Indeed and the employer. If you choose not to share the results, they will not be shared with Indeed or the employer.
- If Persona is unable to complete the verification, the results will not be shared with Indeed or the employer. Your application will still be submitted.
Important: A bot mitigation check is not available in Texas, Illinois, Washington, or California.
