Why application confirmation emails are helpful
Some jobs allow you to apply directly through Indeed. These are jobs marked “Easily apply” or “Apply with your Indeed Resume.” When you successfully apply to one of these jobs, Indeed sends a confirmation email to you for your records.
The confirmation email will have a link to the job posting so you can get back to it easily. It will also give you an overview of what you included on your application. For instance, it may say that you included a resume and a cover letter.
Can't find your application confirmation email?
If you can’t find the confirmation emails in your inbox, you may be able to find them in your spam folder. Be sure to add firstname.lastname@example.org as a safe sender to your contact list to help prevent them from being marked as junk!
Opting out of application confirmation emails
If you don’t find these emails useful, you can opt out at any time. You will find a link at the bottom of each Application Confirmation email that says “unsubscribe.” Clicking that link will remove you from the mailing list and you will no longer receive those emails when you apply for jobs.
Opted out and want to opt back in?
If you’ve unsubscribed from those emails and you wish to opt back in, you absolutely can. Simply find one of the emails you’ve gotten in the past and click the “unsubscribe” link again. You’ll be taken to a page where you’ll see an “undo” link.
Clicking on that will re-subscribe you to those emails and you will start receiving them again as you apply to any new jobs. Note that you will not receive emails for jobs you applied to before opting back in.
