Taking an Assessment (Tips and Advice)

Follow these steps to take an assessment.

  1. Go to your Indeed ResumeConvert to Indeed Resume if you have your own file uploaded or need to upload a resume.
    Did you know? You'll need an Indeed Resume to access Skills tests in your Profile. Toggle on the visibility switch on Switch button is toggled on. to add your Assessments to your Indeed Resume.
  2. Scroll to the bottom of the page where you'll see the Assessments section.
  3. Click on View All Assessments in the top right corner of the Assessments section, or select from one of the recommended assessments if any are listed.
  4. Browse through the offered assessments and take any you feel will showcase your best skills.

Has an employer invited you to take an assessment?

From your Indeed Resume, you'll be able to share existing scores with employers. 


How to prepare to take an assessment.

Here are a few best practices to follow:

  1. Take the assessment in an area that isn’t relevant to your career so that you get a feel for what the assessments are like.
  2. Monitor everything - from the timer to the audio. Doing so will help ensure that you are ready when taking an assessment that is valuable to your career.
