What is Two-Step Verification?

Two-Step Verification is a system Indeed uses to make your account more secure.

In addition to an email address and password, you can also tie a phone number to your account. Then, when you log into your account, we will send a code to that phone number via call or text. You’ll need to enter that code on the sign-in page for your login to be successful.

You always have the power to choose whether you want to use Two-Step Verification or not.

How do I opt into Two-Step Verification?

  1. Log into your Indeed account here.
  2. Visit your Account page.
  3. Click the link that says “activate 2-step verification.”
  4. Enter the phone number you’d like to associate with your account and choose whether you’d like to receive text messages or phone calls.
  5. Click “Send Verification Code” and Indeed will send a six-digit code via the method of your choice.
  6. Enter that code on the next screen and click “Verify and Enable.”

How do I opt out?

  1. Log into your Indeed account.
  2. Visit your Account page.
  3. Click the link that says “deactivate 2-step verification.”
  4. Enter your password

Once you’ve opted out, you will no longer have to enter that additional code when you log into your Indeed account.

What if my phone number has changed?

That’s okay! You can visit Authy’s website to update your phone number. Authy will ask for your old phone number and your new phone number, and will work with you via email and phone to correct your contact information. Once the change has been processed, you will be able to log back into your Indeed account.
