Updating Your Profile Contact Info

In the contact information section, you can add details like your name, personal information, and employment eligibility. You'll learn how to edit this section on this page and understand what employers can and can't see.

Important: The profile experience on Indeed has been updated. Thanks for your patience as we gradually roll this out.

Getting started

New accounts

  1. Create an account and verify it. Check your inbox for the email.
  2. Go to your Profile.
  3. Click or tap the add icon to add your contact information.

Existing accounts

  1. Sign in.
  2. Go to your Profile tab.
  3. Click or tap the edit icon to update your contact information.

What you'll find under contact information

Did you know? This help center page is available to help you learn more about what employers see or can't see.

First and last name

You'll need to add a name. It will be displayed on your profile. If you upload a resume, we'll prefill this information when you apply for jobs on Indeed. 

Phone number

You can communicate easily with employers. Your number is only provided to employers you apply to or respond to.

Choose whether to Show my number on Indeed.

Email

You used your profile email to create and sign in to your account. You can Edit it from this page.

Location

Adding these details will help tailor your searches to jobs in your area.

  • Change your Country.
  • Employers see City and State.

Benefits

Indeed can calculate commute time using your location details.

Employment eligibility

Update your work authorization details in this section.

Your selection is visible to employers.

Benefits

Employers know whether you need sponsorship for a job or not.

Add or edit your contact info

Type your details in the Contact information text fields. After you make changes, be sure to click or tap Save.
