When you apply to jobs directly through Indeed (jobs marked “Apply with your Indeed Resume”), you may receive an email from the employer requesting a phone screening that is facilitated by Indeed.
The phone screening will be a series of four questions, which you will have one week to complete. The phone number that you will call, the passcode for your screening, and the expiration date and time of the screening will all be listed in the email you receive. Please note that the time of expiration is listed in Eastern Standard Time, so please adjust accordingly if you live in another time zone.
You will have up to two minutes to answer each question in the phone screening. We recommend completing the call from your personal phone, with a stable connection, in a quiet location.
If you experience technical issues while completing a phone screening, please contact us. Please keep in mind, however, that while Indeed facilitates the phone screenings, we are not involved in the invitation process. If you have a question about an invitation that has expired, or if you want to follow up on a completed screening, you will need to contact the employer directly.
Please visit our Phone Screening FAQ for more information about the Phone Screening program.
