Measuring work wellbeing

The Work Wellbeing 100 lists the top 100 public companies based on Indeed's Work Wellbeing Score. The score measures:

  • Happiness: How happy people are with their work life
  • Purpose: How meaningful their work feels
  • Satisfaction: How much people enjoy their day-to-day life at work
  • Stress: How manageable people find their work stress

How the Work Wellbeing Score works

Employees can take the Work Wellbeing survey to rate their happiness, purpose, satisfaction, and stress. Experts made this short survey to understand how a company supports wellbeing.

When at least ten users take the survey, you'll find the Work Wellbeing Score on Indeed's Company Pages.

Did you know? If you're an employer, the score can help you understand what you're doing right and what you might want to work on.

We keep your information confidential.

  • The results do not include your name. They do include your job title, location, and employment status.
  • The surveys are anonymous and optional. Check our Terms of Service for more information.
  • To keep the information anonymous, don't include identifiable information in your review. All reviews are subject to Indeed's guidelines.

Reading the scales and labels

Labels for wellbeing insights on Company Pages help you compare companies. Each indicator has a scale (PDF), and about 20% of companies fall into one of five levels:
